Goodbye 2010

We'll I for one am glad to see 2010 go. Hopefully 2011 will be a much better year. It has been a roller coaster of a year and while our family has a long road ahead with my brother's battle with cancer we can only hope that things will go up from here.

We have had some great moments and some we'd like to forget but we need to keep in mind "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." Here's to hoping that is true.

Happy 2nd Birthday!!

Ashlee turned 2 on the 12th.Wow I can't believe it has been 2 years since Ashlee joined our family. We had Jon's family over on Saturday to celebrate with us.

She had a great birthday and loved her Care Bear Cake I made.
I had her sit on the floor to take this picture and as soon as I put the cake in front of her
she said "I need fork" It was really cute.
We put out the little pool so the kids could play. It was such a beautiful day.
Gotta love San Diego weather.
Taking her new baby for a ride on her new bike.

My Little Brother

My 14 year old brother, Cody, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare, highly aggressive form of cancer. Desmoplastic round cell tumor, also known as DSRCT, is considered a childhood cancer and predominantly affects young teenage boys. Since they do not live anywhere near a hospital that treats cancer they are going to be traveling a lot for treatment. Initial treatment will include 7-8 months of aggressive chemotherapy. My friend is running the San Diego Marathon in June and has decided to run in behalf of my brother. She has set up a site to take pledges. If anyone in interested I have attached the link below. Please feel free to share with as many friends and family as you can. My family thanks you for support and assistance. Please keep him in your prayers it is going to be a long tough battle for all of us.
