Christmas Lights

We went to look at Christmas lights tonight. It has been a tradition the last few years to get some ice cream and coffee and drive around looking at the lights. They have an area called Pepper Drive where they have some pretty elaborate lights and yard decorations. Some of those houses are amazing. This year Andrew was so excited about it. He loved all the lights and couldn't get enough.

Christmas Program

Andrew's school christmas program was on Saturday. It was really cute. His class sang "Jingle Bells" and "Bells are Ringing", well they all stood there ringing their little bells. There were a lot of people there so when the kids got up I think they got stage fright because most of them didn't sing. It was cute anyway because they sure rang those bells.

Company Christmas Party

Jon's company Christmas Party was last Saturday. It was at the Hilton Bayside. The hotel was really nice it had just opened 4 days before the party so it was their opening weekend. The theme to the Christmas Party was Senior Prom so we got all dressed up. They gave us corsages and boutonnieres and took our Prom picture. We haven't gotten it back yet though.

I had to set the timer and run over for this one so It isn't the best but it turned out pretty good considering.

We had a great time. Jon's parents kept the kids all night so we were able to stay out late and not rush back to get kids home and in bed. The food was good and Jon even won best dancer. He got a lovely bag that says dance, dance, dance all over it with a little ballet slipper key chain. It was pretty funny. He said he felt gay carrying the bag through the lobby the next morning when we checked out so I offered to carry it for him. We also won a gift certificate to Jamba Juice. It was a great time.

Happy Anniversary

Jon and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary yesterday. Paul and Becky kept the kids overnight so we were able to go out for a nice dinner and not rush home to get kids in bed. We went to Azul in La Jolla. It is a really nice Steakhouse that just opened up on Monday. The food was delicious and the waitress was so sweet she brought us a piece of chocolate cake for desert and said it was on her as long as we shared. We had a really good night. Can't believe it has been 5 years already.

Andrew opens a present

You'll need to stop the music player at the bottom of this page before starting this video.

Be honest, none of us REALLY want to open a present and get this...

Happy Birthday Andrew

Today was Andrew's 3rd birthday. I can't believe he is already 3. Seems like not that long ago he was Ashlee's age and just starting to crawl.
He had school today so he took cookies and some party favors to the class today. They gave him a birthday hat to wear. He had a lot of fun. We had Jon's parents over for pizza and cake tonight. Andrew had a great day and loved all his presents. He got a big wheels bike from Jon's parents and we got him a tool work bench which were both a big hit. Happy Birthday Andrew! We love you.

Ashlee Crawling

Ashlee started crawling yesterday. She has been so close and has only gotten as far as moving one arm and one leg forward before she would fall over but I guess she put things together overnight because she is all of a sudden able to crawl forward a few feet. Looks like she is taking after her brother he also started crawling at 6 1/2 months of age. I was hoping she would start crawling on Andrew's birthday but I guess she couldn't wait a few more days. Andrew started crawling on Jon's birthday. I can't believe how fast they are growing.

On another note I just got a new position at work. I will now be working the PM shift. Which means more sleep for me. I will now be working from 2:30-11:00 pm. Jon is going to start going in a little earlier and coming home at 2:00 so I can head off to work. I will be working 4 days a week which is 1 day more than I have been working but at least I can come home and sleep at night. Staying up for 2-3 days has really been getting hard. I won't start my new shift until we hire and I help train my replacement on night shift. So I still have another month or so of night shift, but things are looking up. Jon parents are also going to help out on those nights that Jon has a meeting and I have to work but hopefully we can schedule it most of the time where I work when he doesn't have a meeting.

We got so many great pictures while we were in Nevada visiting my family I had to post a few more.

My parents with all the grandkids.

Me with my brother and sister.

Andrew had a great time helping to feed the horses and chickens, and then chase them.
We just got back from visiting my parents for a week. We had such a good time. The kids had so much fun playing together. and of course Papa saddled up one of the horses for them.

Of course no visit would be complete without Papa saddling up one of the horses.

Jon and Cody battled it out with Guitar Hero on the Nintendo Wii.

My mom had gotten the girls matching Christmas outfits but since we won't be together for Christmas we took the opportunity to get a picture of them in their matching outfits together.

"Cheese!"

My sister and her family were able to come down for a couple of days. It was great to have us all there at the same time.

Halloween

It has been so busy the last few weeks I finally have a chance to get our Halloween pictures up. Andrew had a great time and thought it was pretty cool that he got candy for knocking on peoples door and saying Trick or Treat. He was so excited to get the candy he would say "Trick or Treat" before they even opened the door. It was cute.

Halloween Carnival

Last night was the Halloween Carnival at Andrew's Preschool. It was a lot of fun. They had a bunch of booths with games for the kids, a ride, balloon animals, face painting, and a cake walk. We won some cupcakes at the cake walk and came home with some candy and a handful of pencils. For some reason Andrew kept picking out the pencils as his prize.

Pumpkin Station

We took the kids to the Pumkin Station. It was fun. Andrew had a great time going on all the rides and picking out pumkins. He can't wait for Halloween. He has to put on his costume almost everyday. He is going to be Thomas the Train, of course. We had him try the costume on at the store. He took off as soon as I got it on him. He ran around the entire store yelling "Choo Choo!" Jon had to chase after him or he would have kept going. It was really cute everyone in the store was laughing.
